hello my pretties i've been along to the library and liberated its supply of Felt and Pastels cds. i felt the need to do so, having not heard any before. if you're from oxford and had the same idea, tough, i've got them all. and because my mummy works in the library, i won't return them for ages, because i don't pay fines...maybe i'll be nice and take them back on time, and prepare myself for the real world, where library fines can't be avoided. well, after that i went promptly to sainsbury's and bought some Fondant Fancies. hands up anyone who loves these wee cakes? i must say, mr kipling's French Fancies are better then sainsbury's own brand though. ooh, i feel a poem coming on... oh pie maker, make me some pies please, we can hide them near the haystacks oh pie maker make me some pies oh dear departed i am sorry it had to end mr. pie man we shall never eat your pies again unless you gave the recipe to mr. kipling hmm. pies. i think that may have been inadvised. i just saw b*witched on the telly, and they were actually keeping still, instead of carrying on like speeding gerbils. such a relief to know they're sometimes in focus. oh, and the other night, a fox got one of our chickens. all my nightmares become reality, and all that. i think, though, it actually happening has cured me, and i may begin to like foxes. it was Edna the hen which was killed. she was Hilda's sister, but Hilda doesn't seem too worried. chickens, eh? thankU india (eww) ALIX oh, katarina k, can i have the story please... :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "No, Patrick," Luis says. matthew... hello there and thank you for your response...after i wrote it and sent it i thought... NO one is going to write to me, because i sound so silly. everyone writes these long beautifully written things, and my first post, to me sounded like...hello, toronto anyone? anyway, before i tear myself up anymore... let me intorduce myself, a proper introduction. my name is danielle, i am 22 years of age,and i am from pennsylvania, but currently living in toronto. although, as i write this, i am home...in pennsylvania, for a visit. to say anything about me...lets see, i was in art school in philly for 3 years, withdrew my final year, and moved to canada. i was a graphic design student. i love artists like, well, warhol, rosenquist, rothko, pollock, beardsley, i could go on and on, but i wont even get further into it. i love the blue note jazz covers and nice old design work like that. yes, to add to your distress, matthew, i was more than disappointed when belle and sebastian didnt show, for the show, but all was well and i had a good night none-the-less, so i wont complain. funny, because i nearly came home to PA to see them, and then i was going to go back to toronto the next day to see them twice, fortunately i didnt, since they didnt play at the philly show either. i also listen to a lot of different music, um, sebadoh, yes..do you listen, to say, rollarskate skinny? just wondering... where do you go in toronto? i have been to blowup quite a few times and well, around other places as well. again, thank you for your response. and hello to all. laaaaaaaaaa, danielle +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister(a)majordomo.net". I'm going to vote for a band called Belle and Sebastian, but i've heard the smart money is on Steps. When I was living in London for 6 months last year, I had the pleasure of experiencing the Eurovision Song Contest. That sweaty German man was indeed hilarious! He was great. Eurovision was a really big deal too, all of my coworkers were so into it. I have to say that one of the things I miss most about living there (aside from Cadbury chocolates and London itself) is the TV. Sure we only had 4 channels, 5 on a good day, but there were so many great programs. I lived with Americans, Canadians, and Australians and we just loved some of the shows. Favorites included Eurotrash, Blind Date, Top of the Pops, TFI Friday, The Cruise, Harry Enfield, and Stars in their Eyes (that show is brilliant!). If only America made a show like Stars in their Eyes!! When I moved back here I was quite upset with TV. There were too many channels and nothing good on! Of course, I've now adapted back to US TV and do enjoy our programs, but there are just some British ones you can't beat. Someone said something a while back about Stuart David doing something on Stars in their Eyes, was that true?
