Dear sinister types Sorry if this is old news to some poeple, but Looper are playing Rough trade in Ladbrook grove this saturday, ring rough trade if you're planning to attend, as you'll need a ticket, and I'll see you there! *sigh*, when will my badges arrive? i don't know...they must be stuck up the tree or something...but how exciting to get to see them perform! I apologise for the lack of b&s content....I bought the summer e.ps at the weekend, and had my first, "ooh, you're buying belle and sebastian, i like them...." moment, in Virgin megastores Stevenage, of all places. and i was so pleased, i skipped home! i just received something unusual in the mail. namely, Joan Jett and the BlackBloodyHeart. plus Huey Lewis and the News. what have i done to deserve this? ok i did order some cd. but just harmless thing. now words have left me, i type instead. everyone, the bad people who sent me this state-of-the-art bollock is CDNOW. be aware. can i do the dear diary bit too? last week i was all smily happy for a few reasons. but that's too long story, even for a diary. until friday. a nice cafe/bar that i once in a while play music for was closing down. so that night we all went there for the last time. my eyes was brimful of tears half of the time. there's so much smoke in there. very cloudy. a bit like what i thought dirty dream #2 video would look like. because of that 'in a town so small' bit. i didn't know that when i first heard. what i managed to come up with was 'in a thousand smoke' which got along well with the part that says 'you couldn't see her face' as far as i'm concern. speaking of which, i could swear he doesn't sing 'you have to make it some day'. many times i listen to this song, all the time i hear ' you have to make it some tea'. british people really like tea, i can understand that. i also went to hear the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra playing in the park yesterday. it's very pleasing. the sky was perfect blue. with only a hint of cloud. lovely weather. i almost falled asleep. isn't weekend great? did i mention my computer broke? it's just come back. thank you to everyone who wrote me last week. month end is very busy time for me but i will be writing soon. all your talking of Evie Sands makes me somewhat bitter. not that i know her or anything. which is the bitter point actually. i live too far to know any good thing. oh well. bangkok may be far. but full of other fun. i will repeat that on my way to bed. I'M GOING NOW BYE! It would be easy not to get grouchy about the quality of the posts lately, if all the like-minded Doozer-loving, geekrock persons on the list could help us out of a spot... Down here in the big Smog, we've been regressing into childhood, and today's brief is to find out what twelve-year olds do. To sum up, in a sentence or two, to find out what people did in those last years of golden weather. Problem is, all the pre-pubescents I know are way back Up North *sniffs*, and my powers of imagination are letting me down, and my own recall is too blurred up with received experience to tell the truth. Frankly, the boss laughed at us when we handed in the likes of: "When I was twelve I rode around on my bike, killing cats, and selling them to the Chinese takeaway" and "I never had any friends like the ones I had when I was twelve years old. One day, we set out to see the body of a dead kid..." So this is a bit of a plea, but also a *coughs* fun competition: All the delightful listees who've been clogging up our heads with little diary extracts, could you please divert your creative energies my way, and mail ME (NOT the list!!) with a few lines about something you did when you were twelve?? It could be that you were a majorette, or ornithologist, or went on Jim'll Fix It, as long as its witty, charming and concise. All efforts will be gratefully received, and the person who sends in the best will scoop an extravagant (as yet unconfirmed) prize. Hi sinisters , i'm still here .This days i study very much so i can't write .I'll back! I've got a little problem . The 9th of February i'll make the exame ( ethology), at 10 AM, and at 15 AM we'll take(me and my girlfriend) the plane Italy-London.This is our problem: We'll stay one night in London(then we'll go in Scotland) , we would sleep in a bed and breakfast in Camden Town , do you know a good B&B in this zone? Hello beautiful sinisterines, i had a belle and sebby dream the other night that was quite fun. the band had set up a recording/karaoke studio in a room in my uni and they let us sing songs in it. my pal & i were trying to figure out which songs we wanted to sing and once we had decided there were already millions in front of us, singing all the songs we had decided upon. pooh! but, i sang 'state i am in' and then i met stuart murdoch who was also listening to our voices to audition us. belle and sebastian moments this weekend: i went shopping for some cds and met a gal buying *3* of the eps on vinyl. and they have a belle & sebastian article in magnet this month. no pictures though. lots of nutella to you all, tidy, the wee monchichi xo +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister(a)majordomo.net".
