Hello the land of sinistah! It's been a while... many things HaPPeNeD! GHD my bleu prince showed his fluffy head again, Mark-o-C posted as well, and so did miss lovely fellow spinisterine Laura Llew! There some new faces around, some come in bright colours, some just faint away, others explode in the sky like verbal fireworks and dissapear... I booked my tickets for London, arriving on the 29th December with my darling Elena, if things go well, SpOoKy the DoG may be arriving with me and I expect certain listees to keep their promise and take her for her walkies in the park... I'm really tempted to start slagging holidays off, but I won't; not this time... I liked so much though what Pamela (was it?) said about smoking booths in big stores... there's a certain racism against smokers innit? I went to see BaXeNdALe last Sunday... they were absolutely GrEaT! I know some people in this list despise Baxendale but I do love them so! Since I've first heard them a year ago... I remember when my friend Dmitry brought "music for girls" and he played it in my front room... we started jumping around and, yes, we loved them instantly! I like their sounds, I like the playful way they deal with music... it's kind of ironic and it's kind of sad sometimes... it seems like they declare their childishness in a disarming way, refusing to grow up... and they're stylish, in an 80s, yet, mulet-less way!! So, on Sunday I had to drive for 240km to go to the city where they were playing... my friend's car broke down and having nowhere to leave spooky the dog, I thought that there was no way of me getting there for the gig... I went really mad about it... so, I called a cab and paid 1/10 of my monthly salary to the cabbie! The gig place was half full when I arrived with some friends... Johnk from this list was there as well and I spotted a girl with a 'if you're feeling sinister' tshirt on... I didn't talk to her though, so, if she's in the list, sorry... We got completely pissed before the gig drunk a bottle of vodka... Senay was telling stories about how she broke one of her teeth whilst Alex and Tim were fooling around with toy-speaking-trumpets! Then, they went on stage and none of us stopped dancing through their whole set! We were quite dissapointed that they didn't play "switzerland", but then, Tim came back on stage and played the song just by himself with an acoustic guitar... whilst images were projecting behind them on a big white screen "PoP wiLL SaVe oUr SouLs" and "gO EleCtRiC"... Walking around and talking with people after the gig, I heard a radio producer saying that Senay should be singing with the Osmonds!! And the night was still young... But that was my bax-story from last Sunday... "she always cries on Sundays", well, not this one... B&S context... baxendale started a song with a sample of "dog on wheels"... yes, that's all... My new friend little Johnn, aged 7 years old, brought me a bouquet again... this time was a bouquet of uprooted peppers! I could use some of them for BeAn SoUp I suppose... I bumbed on a car the other day with my scooter and I lost a little piece of its front... I bought a CD by Brian, a band I've discovered lately and I'm totally enchanted... they're early 90s and irish... "writing about music is like dancing about architecture" i just wanted to ask you who anon was.' i have absolutely no idea but its a grate quote ola: 'i love sigur ros as well. does it make my music taste cool too?' of course! - a love of sigur ros makes anybody automatically the coolest, i recomend it to anyone nico: sorry if i upset any of our stateside chums but the whole election farce *is* pretty funny, no? also, i *love* the warriors, i have a poster of it on my bedroom wall, the video version is different from the one on tv, the video version dosn't have the exposition sequence before the titles, not much of a change though. sort of *content* has anybody heard of a band called the aislers set? sort of belle and sebish, esp. the second track on the tape i was sent, the male vocalist is a deat ringet (auraly) for our beloved stuart m. a big yee-haw to the list and all the darling boys who post my name like a fucking billboard. self-advertising. its how i survive. "big stu" said something about hot topics of the past including martini-fueled conversation regarding the phenomenon of the nickname...so i jump into the mold of ideal and remark in my lips should be redder way: they wanted to call me L-train...now they call me pumpi... use yr imagination boys and girls, this is coming from the list smut-puppy, here (that's me lisa)... know a kid called e-rock. the rock to play when yr rolling (on E). some kid they call flip...and i'm not touching that one. another they have dubbed "beef"...damn. i'd like to sink my teeth into that one like he's a big juicy quarter pounder...pickles and all on a seaseme seed bun... and this is the part where i cry for help: "i'm a dirty old man trapped in the curves of a hip-swinging, cleavage to my chin, secret agent type twenty year old...and don't you dare try to get me out." Sinister: Dark places and mysterious tunnels

Greetings, sinister people. It's dark and cold; the weather is drawing in. I'm supposed to be working, but because I'm a damn lazy bugger I've been completely ignoring all of my impending deadlines in favour of long walks and afternoon naps. Yesterday, I went for a long, long walk looking for mysterious holes and underground places. In a back alleyway, I found a dark shaft coming up from a tunnel under the city; the sound of trains rushing underneath. I kept on walking, round through the suburbs along cuttings and embankments, whistling Judy And The Dream of Horses as I went. I was still whistling -- quietly, in an i-can't-whistle sort of way -- at work this morning. Hopefully, the people around me will have been subliminally affected by beautiful melodies. I did see a disused tunnel mouth whose barriers had been broken down, and I was tempted to walk inside. Not being brave enough, I stood by the entrance and admired the quality of the stonework. God, I need *daring*! Talking on #sinister the other day, I happened to mention that I would prefer a computer as seen in many, many 60s movies, with lots of flashing lights and stuff; and got called a boy racer for my troubles. I would like to explain that this isn't what I want at all. I want a *huge* computer in a room of its own, manned by a team of operators with NHS glasses and 1950s suits under their white lab coats. Every day I would walk in, and they would pass me the day's Sinister mail printed out on green-striped paper. Instead of a monitor, it would have an *enormous* operator's console with hundreds of lights and toggle switches. Such a computer would normally live in a missile-command centre, in a bunker deep beneath American mountains; but I would keep it all to myself. Aren't I greedy. I was terribly disappointed when I first started using #sinister -- everyone there (except the List Mummy, of course) is an Absolute Tart! I am now trying to increase my own tartiness in order to fit in more. I shall have to buy a miniskirt and knee-high boots -- although I don't think they'd go with my beard. I did think of hundreds of other things to say, but they have all slipped my mind right now. Instead, I shall just have to go away and try to improve myself. Sinister: The Average Fine and Invisible Harp

Hello It's been a weird week. Most of it off work.. after all the excitement seeing my famous scottish writer I had a near nervous collapse in the Georgian basement room I share with my boss and several empty workstations the following day (a hangover) and had to be laid to rest back home in me jim jams. However, birthday approaching I decided to make the best of the gloom and get drunk everyday, as soon as I got the wits to get dressed and stagger down to 'the village'. Yeah, like Brier's Bukowsi quote. DON'T READ BUKOWSKI! bad influence So, mostly I did that, ranted and raved incoherently as per usual for hours on end in #sinister with lots of charming, intriguing and really very smutty indeed people. Othertimes, I'd even manage to be almost nice (by shutting up for a bit... in fact, my hands were beginning to shake and my back was being glanced at by several members of the paranoia family. Things returned to normality this morning with lisa morrison's charming post... after a night whose sole item of sleep comprised making up doowop harmonies with a bunch of little gherkin like people, some auditory hallucinations provided by mine own ears, and someone with a mask on and a pistol with a pickled newt in the barrel (don't ask.. erm). So, a really great and enjoyably sober day back at work. I laughed as the handbreak came away in my hands and I stepped into the cold vapours of the wee office car park to lug some horribly heavy spare pre-cast concrete blocks to choc up the tyres. My sweet boss's wife said I should have let the car roll down on in and smash the old wooden gateways so then we could've all claimed on insurance. All's well that ends well Fish fingers and chips! Howdeeee Cowguys & Cowgirls, Loud applause to those who recently put up snappies on the Sini Photo Albums. If you haven't been in a while, go see. There's dominatrix Lisa (who looks like she could tie us all up and kick our asses, and probably would), Pickle Prince (who reminds me of Dean Moriarty from On The Road, altho I'm terrified to ask him how he got the name Pickle Prince), Sue Mi (who lost her jumper on the way to the Body Parts page, and is stuck in As We Are Now waiting for a ride to the Body Parts page.... damn wow), and some smouldering girl with her pet pigeon. A few new body parts too.... is it getting a little steamier over there or is it just me? If you don't have a part on display yet, find a camera and a friend, and do us all a favor. We'll thank you in the morning. And why hasn't Sue Mi posted yet? And where the hell did St. Lucy go (all the boys wonder)? Has anyone received notice yet that their auction has been paid for, and to deliver the goods? Cuz i ain't been paid for yet, and i wonder if they're gonna let me rot in the fridge or what. Or put me in the day-old bin and pawn me off at half price? What's a damaged goods to do? Finally found another soul in this town who knows Belle & Sebastian. I was giving her a ride (on my Vespa, ya pervys!) when the subject came up. Sinister: burnt offerings

hi there little sinister folk. So I've not been posting much, sorry. I've been really busy with the black fox fables, which have been very well received. I've also been trotting up to Sheffield every couple of weeks to see my beloved little fox, who I adore and prize above all things... So as karma has smiled at me, I am feeling good. So anyone who is feeling unhappy or just in the dumps, and feel that their lives could be brightened up with a kinder toy and some penny chews, mail me off list, and I'll send a goodybag! (but you'll have to let me know by....Sunday, as I'm off to Mickey next week) also, anyone still waiting for their copy of raindogs, I'm sorry about the delay, but a certain sinister member still hasn't paid me for 4 copies, and until he does, I can't afford to print up any more, ( it actually costs me more to print and post than I'm charging), and until I either get that money from the nameless one, or chalk it up to misplaced trust and scrounge a tenner off someone else, the availability of the books has dried up. I actually feel really bummed about it, because I hate asking for money off people, and I'm starting to wonder if I should bother with these books at all, as I seem to spend half my time chasing after the few folks who take an unfair advantage of me. And I dont want to charge more to the people who do bother paying me back, as that's not fair on them. sheesh. anyway, enough of my griping.
