Cat and Girl has indeed mentioned B&S before - I used to have the relevant cartoon pinned to my office wall, before the Office Facilities Manager told us our new walls were too valuable to pin stuff to. The cartoon you should be looking for is "Grrrl's Scouting", where the Grrrl joins the Hipster Scouts, and gets badges for joining a band, making zines, and owning a copy of Tigermilk. I keep trying to persuade my mother's church singing group that they should do a rendition of If You Find Yourself Caught In Love, but to no avail. I thought Sturan's Christianity had been well-known for a long while now - now all we need to know is if they're also into BDSM as per the IYFS lyrics. Hello sinistees, I'm going to be good and actually write something this time, I think, rather than trying to get you to do stuff, like I usually do. I'm listening to (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay at the moment, a cover by Michael Bolton. It's excellent, except he doesn't sound like he was very relaxed when he screams out how he's resting his "bone" on the dock of the bay. Michael was excellent when he was on this program I watched a while ago - it was "Michael Bolton - Tribute On Ice" - which basically involved loads of people ice skating whilst Michael sings his heart out all his classics. I nearly cried when he did "When a Man Loves a Woman". Also a good thing on TV - that Tesco advert that has Camera Obscura on it, and a girl riding a horse and getting her kit off. Ian Anscombe wrote a good post - I was read some of it the other day, by Ben Apps, through his mobile phone, it was incredibly clever - the post was clever too. Ben's phone is like the daddy of all phones. Like owner like phone, or something. Do people of this parish still go to places like ATP, and stuff? I still remember back in the days. Sinister: Copies of Belle and Sebastian - Just a Modern Rock Story

Hi everyone, I haven't posted in probably years and I never posted much to begin with. I'll be leaving my current job soon (this Friday) and while cleaning up and looking through the bazillion books on my bookshelves, I found not one, but two extra copies of the B&S bio that came out a couple of years ago (I work for its' American publisher). So I thought I'd offer them up to the first 2 people who responded. I have a copy of the American version and the British version. As far as I can tell, the only difference is in the imprint, otherwise the books are identical. If anyone's interested in either one, please go ahead and email me your name and address and you too can have a shiny new copy of 'Just a Modern Rock Story'. Hey Sinister, It gets harder and harder to think of Belle and Sebastian song title puns these days, but today was another punny day, so I thought I'd write you guys. I like that on the Belle and Sebastian myspace page, in the "Sounds Like" section it is said that they just sound like their records. This makes them my favourite friend on myspace I think.. or they will be, when I manage to get round to befriending them, and if they'll have me. Because I haven't, "Faith" is still my favourite friend on myspace, she's quite a funny girl, you know the kind who is adorably clumsy and disorganised.. she kept trying to send me a link to this website that apparently would make me loads of money, almost every other day, but she always gets it wrong and ends up sending me the same link each time. If she didn't live so far away, and were real, I would have gone and given her a hug and tell her that it's okay. Oh well. Do you guys have plans this Sunday?
