Hiya, I was fortunate enough to pick up promo copies of the three CD ep's at a record fair in Oxford last Saturday and along with the press releases on the back, the Dog on Wheels EP also says "500 only". Were there only ever 500 CD's or 500 promos? The first seems too few and the latter too many. Any ideas? John ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . He's published 3 collections to extraordinary acclaim... people have called him the new Auden, which is nice. To compound the Auden comparison he travelled to Iceland with fellow-poet Simon Armitage a while ago, following in the footsteps of Auden and MacNeice, and published a travelogue, "Moon Country", which was rather good. this poem was provoked by being kept awake by a screaming child on an all night train through France. Sinister: fish and five

What I meant to say about ch 5 is that its might be dross but its watchable dross. Apart from the unwatchable sunset beach which is being axed anyway, most of the programmes pass the time nicely without being too classy or brilliant or anything. Take Xena, watch it once and it seems dire, second time its not as bad as you first thought then 3rd time it becomes good in a taking the piss way. Also if you live in Glasgow it is for some reason the easiest channel to get a good reception on. I know people who live in basement flats and get nothing but ch5. Right enough, they know the names of all the actors and characters in sunset beach and can follow it without dying of boredom and are now scary social outcasts but my point is channel five is ok and better than ITV most of the time and occasionally better than BBC 1. So there. And its the only tv channel on which I have heard B+S played. And, indeed sarah cox is a lovely lady. Also I have memories of my mother cooking rainbow trout seasoned with salt, pepper, + lemon etc wrapped in tin foil and baked in the oven. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . Huw, Yes I think you should grill the trout, but wait! Trout are not especially big, certainly not grouper or barracuda-sized. Are you sure there will be enough for Sarah if you only grill one? Sinister: Channel 5

Even though channel 5 is generaly full of Dros and vegitating entertainment there is one highlight to watching it...... Sarah Cox. I think she's fantastic. Anyone know how I can cook a rainbow trout for my tea tonight, while I listen to Belle & sebastian, should I grill it? Fry it maybe if you think that you know then E-Mail me.

Hi As you may have guessed that Aidans day E-mail wasn't intended for either list. I was drunkish and sent it to everybody on my mail list. Basicaly its an annual piss up at my college at Durham uni, with trinking games t-shirts and frisbee's (like the picnics but with different music).
