Went into Virgin in Princes Street yesterday in search of CDs and Jackie Chan videos. Lack of interesting CDs. Read interview with Ian Brown in back of Q. Ha ha. Laughed at blokes looking at jazz mags hidden inside a copy of NME. Read Melody Maker (hidden inside a copy of Playboy). Went downstairs to video department. Actually, fell downstairs to video department. Landed on me head. At least it was the softest part. Wandered round in circles for a bit. Bought "Drunken Master" (with a big wahey to Keith, who recommended it. Fantastic), "Police Story 3" and "The Full Monty" (which doesn't have Jackie Chan in it, but should have.) Anyway to get to the point - Virgin now have a release date of March 16th for B&S under the singles section. Ptchah! I asked the bloke behind the counter, and he said "Yeah. It's out. Definitely". Double ptchah! On my way out noted kangeroo playing jews harp and (unusually for this time of year) circling bluebirds. Andy ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . Dear List, Please help. I am so tired my eyelids feel as if they are filled with lead. I am at work and, as usual, have nothing to do. I have a lovely view of Tower bridge and the Canary Wharf (London) from my office window and I just want to daydream the afternoon away. what do you think would be a good B&S song ro daydream to or any other band for that matter or just send me something to keep me awake (plase no Eighties quizes) or a least to fill the vacuous space in my head. I hope this doesn't make me sound like a boring old shite (28 on Saturday), but are there any others of the 510(!) on the list who don't give a monkeys about dodgy '80s tune trivia quizzes? Is this quiz a plant on behalf of the music industry? Only they seem intent on marketing cheezy '80s compilations at present. Or is it that '80s tunes are the replacement to the now defunct Easy Listening revival of a couple years back. Some daft people are even attempting to run '80s clubs (a nightmare vision of Musical Youth mixed with Sonia and the like). oops! off on a tangent there!
