So I had this dream a few weeks ago. Belle and Sebastian moved across the
ocean to Washington DC to become a certain listee's* neighbors. I was very
jealous--I threw a fit and squealed like a piggy. She soon joined the band to
sing backup vocals. Yeah, it was great to hear her on the songs, but is not
the house next to me good enough for the band? Can not I stand on the stage
and sing?--no one would probably even notice me with the other hundred members
of the band. Hrrumph.
*(Name withheld not to give B&S any ideas; I do not like to be a piggy).
And, Art, er, Mr. Bergman, I swear I was a perfect gentleman when Amanda and
I had lunch. So, I was quiet, but I was jetlagged. She loaned me a few
dollars, but I had no money. I think we must praise your childrearing talents
for bringing up such a generous soul who feels it is her personal duty to give
everyone in the world a copy of _Tigermilk_. Others hear and refuse the call;
Amanda embraces that side of her humanity. God bless her.

last summer i got a super-duper-delux picnic basket. wicker, gingham
blue blankee and napkins, china plates, nice flatware, the werks. very
brideshead revisited meets room with a clue.
i became a picnic-a-holic and am quite fond of them. i would be more
than willing to head up the new york picnic account...where? the
cloisters? perfect. i have the wicker, but becoming macrobiotic 4 months
ago could be a problem. miso soup and brown rice doesnt sound very
festive.

No! Do they tell you when they're going to play certain videos on the
Chart Show? If they don't they all smell of wee and beetroot. That is
my final word on the matter, unless I think of something else to say

good afternoon all,
since i've been reading these highly amusing anecdotes of days gone by,
i keep seeing p.e. and this has been a constant reminder of a very
horrible week end just passed. (it's ok, i'm in counselling now ;) . you
see, my p.e. stood for pulmonary embolism. that's right kids, a blood
clot in the lungs. rather scary not being able to breathe. think of
asthma and x by 100 (well, probably not, but the story goes a lot better
that way). after a barrage of tests, the doctors decided i didn't have a
clot and it was most probably "stress"... hmm, thanks, that was a load
off my mind.
but since that was not really anywhere near the point, i shall relate my
*proper* p.e. story. being naturally athletic, of course i have no
traumas related to school sports ;) i do have a question though. when
we'd have swimming our teachers would threaten us with the old
"chemicals that turned purple in the pool etc " chestnut. was this just
an australian" thing or is it a global lie?
