Seems to me that the 'best' music from any decade is the stuff one likes the
most. Unless, of course, I don't like it, in which case it is objectively
bad.

You fat clown.
You probably did dream it, but unfortunately your credibility is rescued by
the fact that the lovely Real Roxanne seems to fit the bill...And yes, she
did have somnething of a foul mouth as I remember, reserving her venom
particularly for Roxanne Shante.
Ah, hip hop slanging matches. Wouldn't it be good if Belle and Sebastian got
into a recorded slanging match with some of their contemporaries? Perhaps
they could see their way clear to 'dissing' Mogwai? A little vinyl spat
between a few bands, slinging the insults just for fun, that would be cool.

Dear Mr. Bergman,
Hello and "Och Aye" from Scotland!
It is good that you have joined us and I'm sure you will enjoy the
Sinister Shananigans. There are occasional obscenities and non-subtle
innuendoes but you will soon spot which authors have dirty minds, and
avoid them as I do.
Amanda is a charming young lady and is very welcome to stay with my
family during her holiday to the UK next month. She will be well looked
after and fed porridge.
I hope this find you well,

Anyone in the Newcastle area fancy going into Marks and Spencers and

(Hello Mr. B - welcome aboard)
Been feeling in a bit of a grump lately but when the Tall Guy re-raised
the question of the picnics I was filled with joy once more. I am
willing to accept your twister challenge, Sir. Your rangey limbs may be
some advantage but I'm going to stage lightening tickling attacks - so
beware.
I think when we do have the first picnic they should occur all over the
world; wherever 2 or more sinisterenes are gathered together. We could
then arrange for Elton John (or even better - Sonia) to sing a medly of
his/her hits in perhaps London and then jet off to the USA - live-aid
style.
I shall make some of my mother's celebrated Anzac cookies for the day.
And bring my frisbee.
Off topic even further now so please stop here if you're a thrusting
executive and time equals money and all that stuff. Anyhow a friend has
sent me a fabulous Tommy Cooper gag....
'A bloke came up to me and said "I'm going to chop the bottom off one of
your trouser legs and put it in the library". I thought, that's a turn
up for the books.'
Don't tell me Sir Heathcliff Richard wouldn't have loved that one...

How many of you have seen B and S live? Was it good?
That second question is a bit of a complicated one. I can only use phrases
like `I've never seen anything like it in my life' and `How can you scream
and shout and dance and jump up and down when your heart is literally
melting and it's all you can do to remember to breathe'. Mmm, it's good.
I keep seeing that video by Theaudience, and I do find it worryingly
arousing. My absolute favourite at the moment is Gone till November by
Wyclef. I think he's in the Fugees (who I Hate), but this is one of the
loveliest things I have ever heard, and the video makes me cry. It even has
Bob Dylan in it. Has anyone else heard this song? Is it out yet? I can't
find it anywhere.
My ex-wife tells me that she went to see Cornershop and Oasis in Tampa and
managed to sell Liam's tambourine for $800. Apparently he threw it at her
in a fit because she was heckling. Was anyone else at that show? Is this
true? (Sorry, this is all a bit personal, I know!)
Lots of love,
DAVID

It said a while ago on S David's site that when 369 charted they were asked
to play and said yes. Then TOTP said they didn' want them. Then it was on
again, and finally off. I suppose this means that there is no objection.

There's a really good northern soul comp called Cooler Shakers (i know) out
at the moment. It only costs £6.99 too. They have it in Freebird, Eden
Quay, just over O Connell bridge. Hope this is of some help.

That was utterly amazing Tag, cause I copped off with Winona Ryder, Demi
Moore and Prince Charles in one night last week. Charles was top, I told him
that and he came over with a royal flush.
>Why does that completely describe David to a t? Hang on, ... Tag, have

Haha, it's well cool that one, I've spotted a few people in there, one that
i know very well. Mr. Dean, hopefully the Chris Geddes one isn't too much
like you, I'd hate to think of you huyeying all over your keyboard at work!
It was very nice to meet Dr.JugHustler (which is the psuedonym for Lance
Corporal Peter Miller) last night, and have a nice chat about
Socio-Afro-Political music with Afros, so I'm spending the entire day
listening to Marvin Gaye. It's raining in Edinburgh too, so I too am
pondering about the wrongs of the world whilst standing in a puddle.
I tell you what I hate about this list, is that I come in to work in the
morning and read a load of very entertaining messages, then, as I did at the
morning, sitting over the open button in anticipation of the last message in
my mailbox, and when you open it, it goes..
unsubscribe sinister
Which is pretty depressing.
Cheers,
Keith.
