Not much action on the list today, is there?
I've just been checking out the baby photos on the list. It's like a
showdown between Little House on the Prairie and Just William. What is Tag
doing in Megan's picture? Paul, I like your house, or is it a school? Who
would have thought that you would grow into a badly drawn man?
Nothing else to say.
Peter

If I remember correctly Bob Dylan has appeared in the odd film or two - a
version of Billy the Kid (the significance of 'Don't look back perhaps...?)
and, more recently, Hearts of Fire which was simply terrible.

Yes folks that's B&S NEWS. Sort of. For all you chatters I've
finally confirmed everything with Captain Murdoch. There will be a
B&S CHAT on Thursday 12th March 1997 at 2pm GMT. Details to follow -
please read them or it will be a horror. Basically you will have to
join two rooms, called #Sinister and #JeepsterRecords on the IRC
server chat.virgin.net. The rooms exist now (#Sinister is private
so you won't see it in the rooms/channel lists but BELIEVE) so please
go along and play if you want to stand a chance of joining in.
You will need a chat client like Global Chat or mIRC that can handle
two rooms at once. Some instructions on my WWW page, probably better
on David's fan club page. Any questions about chat please direct to
Delectable David not me.
Also - to not disappoint people some band members (probably the
Stuarts) will pop in on the previous date, Thursday 26th Feb but at 6
PM - seems like a stab at a good time for all. Not for an organised
chat, probably (although I reserve the right to try it for 2 mins if
I feel perky), but for a scrum.
So thats:
6pm Thursday 26th February: B&S bunfight
2pm Thursday 12th March: B&S chat
Finally am about to forward all the email questions to the band. Any
more mail me within an hour of getting this message. Can't wait to
see the answers to some - if I was asked I would slap the questioner
with my handbag.

Warning!!!! Pretentious tosh alert!!!!Feel free to delete without
reading!!!
12 songs to represent my life.....let me think.....
My life is dull, boring and sad so here we are :
1. 4st 7lb - Manic Street Preachers : "I want to walk in the snow and
not soil its purity", "Such beautiful dignity in self-abuse"
(The most beautiful lyrics ever written - Richey be happy wherever
you are)
2.Creep - Radiohead : "What the hell am I doing here when I don't
belong here?"
(Ever had the feeling that you just shouldn't be here?)
3.Judy And The Dream Of Horses - B&S : "Walking the street from
morning till night", "..never felt so good except when she was
sleeping"
(......living in dreams all the time.....)
4.Motown Junk - Manics : "Adrift in cheap dreams don't stop the
rain", "21 years of living and nothing means anything to me"
(I was SO happy when they played this at Brixton Academy)
5.Put The Book Back On The Shelf - B&S : "You'll have to pay for
staring at the floor when people talk to you"
(Cos I'm shy too...)
6. Lazy Line Painter Jane - B&S
(HAPPY at the Union Chapel gig!)
7.Pictures Of You - The Cure : "...screamed at the make-believe,
screamed at the sky and you finally found the courage to let it all
go"
(...nice lyrics...)
8.New Dawn Fades - Joy Division : "..mistakes were made I took the
blame. Directionless, so plain to see, a loaded gun won't set you
free, so they say"
(Got me through a bad patch...)
9. I Am A Rock - Simon And Garfunkel :"I have my books and my poetry
to protect me"
(Self-explanatory...)
10.Strange Days - The Doors
(Cos they are...)
11.Rollercoaster - Red House Painters : "Reminding me I'll never be
able to relive those days except in memory"
(......remembering.....)
12.Too Cold Here - Manics : "10 years of bleeding inside", "Sometimes
the mind is the smallest prison of all"
(....nice lyrics again...)
13. Talk To Me - Tindersticks: "In a hall of mirrors, you get sick of
yourself"
(Just like this song.....)
Um...that turned into 13 not 12.
Now you probably think Im a freak and will ban me from the list or
something. Im not THAT bad - honest!!!
Lots of love from Lisa xxx
(Vowing never to post anything this crap or long EVER again!!!)

Hey People with websites (and Jeepster esp), how about putting the ep
videos onto websites so that those of us unlucky enough not to have mtv
can have a look? (Or are there size/legal problems?) It's only fair,
the rest of us need to catch up, and we could do this before people
spend extortionate amounts of money on swapping videos...
Just a Thought,
Love Adam
ps if this was mentioned already i'm sorry - and about five days behind

I thought the first one was a pile of piss, compared to Fever pitch...(even without my obvious Gooner bias). He should stick to footie writing.

i've got a full-length by them called "New Memories" that came out on St. Roch
Records here in the US of A and Shoeshine in the UK . The band features the
illustrious Francis Macdonald on drums and vocals and the rest of the band
include:
John Miller, vocals/acoustic guitar
Martin Hayward, bass
Brian Taylor, electric guitar
John McCusker, fiddle/mandolin
Malcolm McMaster, pedal steel
the record was produced by Kim Fowley and as previously mentioned, it's more
country than anything else. Francis Macdonald has three tracks on it.

The Radio Sweethearts are a sort of country/pop type band. All I know
of them are a few songs on the album "Shoeshine Chartbusters",a
compilation of singles on shoeshine records. Also featured are Frank
Blake(Norman Blake & Francis McDonald),Alex Chilton and Speedboat.

Candy, I can't be the man they want me to be. Maybe it was only with you
that I could be me. And I can't keep lying all the time. I know you'll find
a better man, they're all too easy to find. And I'll just go away, slowly
lose my mind....
Those days are gone. You and I were young, those summer nights. You'll see
the world diving for a girl you'll never find. And then we'll quietly grow
old: the saddest story ever told.
I know that you were never young and you probably won't get old but honey
nobody's gonna hurt you anymore. And nobody's gonna make you wanna die
again. Some people don't believe in dying. But some of us don't believe in
life.
And you, you look like Heaven. An angel who stepped from a dream. 777 times
lovelier than anything i've ever seen.
All the umbrellas in London couldn't stop this rain. And all the dope in
New York couldn't kill this pain. And all the money in Tokio couldn't make
me stay. All the umbrellas in London couldn't stop this rain.
You may be cruel and unkind in every way. Thinking of ways to hurt me all
night and day. But you're so beautiful...But you're so beautiful, it makes
me want to cry.
