Are Fleck by any chance that obscure band from Wigan who once sounded a bit
like the intro to one of
B&S's songs ? ยง:^D

Well, I suppose shameless self-promotion would not be tolerated on this list ...
I'd rather show my helpful side ...

I'm neither a computer expert nor aware of Pegasus, but my Eudora Light
mailing software offers the option to "leave mail on the server" (under
Special/Settings/Checking mail), which means that every single mail one has
_ever_ received via one's e-mail address would pile up the provided quota of
_server_ disk space. Under Eudora Light, the option is switched _on_ after
the installation process. After receiving a similar message, I've switched
the option off _permanently_ and removed more than 1000 mails left on the
_server_, since received e-mails are safely available on my hard disk (that
is, unless I delete them by purpose). In other words, leaving mails on the
server only ensures additional copies. That option _may_ be your problem,
but you'd have to find out how to clear server space _online_ under Pegasus
(read that "message" carefully) ...
Ooops ... apologies for another lengthy mail, only thought some others may
be interested as well to prevent similar troubles in the future ...

Hiya,
Just whiling away the hours...
Now that I get the digest version I am wondering if it actually takes
me longer to read the digest than it did to read the numerous single
messages!
I managed at the weekend to introduce some of my friends to Belle and
Sebastain. We were in Great Yarmouth in one friend's parents caravan for
a weekend of doing absolutely nothing at all (except for 'socialising'
and getting up at 2pm for three days on the trot). On the Sunday evening
I brought out 'Tigermilk' which had the effect of them wanting to go out
and get 'Sinister'. I don't know if they have yet, but I hope they have.
This morning was a bizarre Tigermilk experience. In the middle of trying
to wake up and get ready for Uni I was made a tape up of Tigermilk and
various sessions but I was pressed for time so I hit the 'high' speed
copy button. To hear Tigermilk at speeds Donald Duck can sing to is
quite something. I followed and hummed the lyrics rather well, under the
circumstances, though I gave on 'Electronic Renaissance' when it turned
into a club song.
back to work...
Cya,
Paul

Neil - it's probably unlikely to be checking the actual amount of email
you're getting, just there'll be a quota on the amount of Disk Space you're
allowed to use, so a periodic clearout of your email is probably the
solution (I graduated from Edinburgh, so this is just a bit of a guess), if
this is the case then going to the digest version then it'll not help much
(just a bit by removing headers from each email). I know the standard email
accounts at Edinburgh had a quota of 1 Meg per student set.
Keith.

Anyway, keeping in mind the purpose of this list, the few people
participating in the thread should probably mention a national band whose
music comes closest to the sounds of Belle and Sebastian. I'm not an expert
as regards the Greek scene, so I could only come up with Fantastic Something
(minus the keyboards) ... whatever happened to Alex and Constantine Veis ?
