surprise~! i am not asking for a copy!
does anyone know how the name for the album came about? i know that you can basically name an album whatever you wish and not have to have a meaning in it but i thought there might be something behind it..
i think this will be something that we could try and tempt stuart murdoch into answering. i no real idea, but could probably make something up that may be quite close :)
i cannot think of anyone that i think would do any justice to covering a b&s song...hmmmm..but i am picturing b&s making an attempt at 'late night maudlin street' by morrissey..that might be a bit too down though.
i think if orange juice reformed, they could probably do an interesting cover of on of the more rockier numbers, say the instrumental Tigermilk for example, or even the velvet underground-esqe You're Just A Baby. But Belle and Sebastian, even though i adore them, are not so good as to really suggest that no-one would ever be a able to do a great cover. in a lot of cases i'd love to here what the cover would sound like. oh, here's another one, what if Beat Happening did Judy And The Dream Of Horses or, Felt doing If You're Feeling Sinister. david -- ******************************************************************** Belle and Sebastian Fan Club merchandise, mail-outs, chat, lyrics, poetry, fiction http://www.totalweb.co.uk/bluesoda/ mailto:bluesoda@totalweb.co.uk ******************************************************************** ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
