G'day chums! Jarkko Frantila was a bit dubious about the flaming lips. What can I say. Go and see them live. They are orgasmic. Hey, they are POST orgasmic. I saw them supporting Mercury Rev (who made my head go funny, I don't know why!). The lead singer was sex in a duffle coat...and he walked past me and smiled before their set. I am truly blessed. They had a big gong which they hit repeatedly, although never with their heads which is what I was hoping for. They also had backing singers in the shape of a shark hand puppet and a nun hand puppet. It was very bizarre, and just a little bit scary which added to the fun.
