hello everyone ... i've been listening to a really amazing band the last few days ...they are called "folksongs for the afterlife" ...it sounds like a cross between Heidi Berry ...& Low ...a little bit of Cowboy Junkies thrown in with some trip-hoppish kind of beats ...i can't stop listening to it...can anybody shed any light? ...i can't believe this band can just all of a sudden appear out of nowhere! i believe they are from America. its out on Enraptured Records on the 8th of November ...er...which is a coincidence as the band i'm in has a single out on the same day! we are called Elixir ...(sorry for this shameless plug ...)singles called Good Cop/Bad Cop ...its limited to 500 & its out on a label called Altered Vibes ...& its a slamming dance floor filler ( well thats what the press release is saying!)... a tribute to all those cheesy 70's cop films and tv series... buy it & i'll be your best friend! don't buy it ...well i'll be your friend anyway...but you should definately check out " folksongs for the afterlife"... to be honest Enraptured Records and its twin label Endorphin Records ...have been putting out some fantastic records lately ...Endorphin is a bit experimental ...& my other band Phobos 3 had a single out with them earlier in the year ...their only English band so far ...i think our willingness to do it for a box of free records came heavily into play! all the rest Acceleredeck ...Flowchart ...Pacifica ...have been American...the Acceleredeck album "Narcotic Beats" ...is well worth checking out ... lo-fi drum&bass at its best! oh god ...i detect a distinct lack of B&S content ...,too late now...er ...sorry and it won't happen again... take care kids.... push. x +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the reborn Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
