So how was the eclipse for those who saw it? I saw the quite beautiful shot of it on the supper news and I wished I could have been there. Of course I figured if I was going to blind myself I may as well enjoy it so I stayed in and "tossed about" all day. I didn't just say that... Anyway, this Lilys record is consuming me whole in its splendidness. I've heard Better Can't Make Your Life Better is, well, better but I have yet to hear it. Speaking of things I haven't seen/heard (which could fill a big bloody book) I've been hearing RAVE reviews from all my friends and family that have trekked to the theatres to see "The Sixth Sense" which is about some kid who sees and talks to dead people. Its sounds "dead" interesting (ba-dum-dum). Of course, it has Bruce Willis which theoretically means it should be complete and utter shite, but I'll give anyone who was in Pulp Fiction the benefit of the doubt. Is anyone besides Lee (MadFlwr) going to the Philly Mogwai show? I live near DC but I'd love to make both shows so I'm begging someone to take me in for one night and give me shelter from the oppresive cruelty that capitalism has begot! I like Risk, basketball and hard cider and I memorize sections of movie dialogue for kicks. I'll be very unobtrusive and I promise to be amazed at your fair city because believe or not I've never done more than drive through it. Ok, Ok...I'll throw in a packet of crisps. Does anyone know anything of the circumstances surrounding Jeff Buckley's death a few years back. I know he drowned and all that but someone recently told me that he read that it was intentional, and therefore a suicide. He said he read an interview with the guy who accompanied Jeff to the river that night and supposedly the guy said Jeff started singing at the top of his lungs and just walked right into the river and never stopped until the water got over his head and he drowned. The autopsy showed Jeff was cold sober so I'm not sure what to think. In any case I'm a huge fan of Jeff's and if anyone else is I hope they email me because I can't talk about him to anyone I know (they're so, like, 1998). I heard the new Echo and Bunnymen record the other day and I was quite impressed. I mean, its no "Back of Love" or "Seven Seas" but its still pretty sweet. Is it just me or does that guy sing exactly like Bruce Springsteen now? There seems to be an influx of Steves and Stephens for some odd reason. At my count there's like 8 of us now or something. Ahhh the Steves/Stephens of Sinister...what a crap lot. I really think Judge Judy should run for president. I love that woman.
