To be honest, the more I listen to B&S , the more I pick up on brilliantly crafted little hidden "refs" in the so-called digressing conversations. And you're wrong about making a general assumption about cyper-friends. Admittedly, I think it's a bit sad when people get internet -boyfriends etc but if your writing is strong enough to cater for what is absent when communicating through email then, the other stuff doesn't matter. But really, I genuinely think she did mean it in a positive way and this may get out of hand (the bitchiness vibe it's giving off) if it continues.
