hi i've just been trawling through the archive for the past half an hour (i'm waiting in much anticpation for a party i'm going to tonight) and i think i'm right in saying that no-one came up with a definitive answer to what la pastie del la bourgeoise actually means. i read massvie long arguements about what, bourgeoise means, and where it comes from, (owners of the means of production & marx) but not the song title. i always presumed that lapastiedelabourgeoise referred to members of the prolitariat who had become friends with members of the bourgeois, ie become their "pastie". marx kinda argued i think that even though they were friends that the bourgeios would still exploit the prole. marx definatley didn't use the term la pastie de la bourgeoisie though. ooh i'm vibrating! my pagers just gone off. i've got to go cause apparently i'm late bye! +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
