Hello Forgive me Sinister, I sinned. You may have read my slightly truncated post which I sent in the small hours of last night. Needless to say, it was only for Javi's eyes, and not for yours, lacking as it did the characteristic charm and charisma that normally peppers my posts. Or something. Needless to say, drink had been taken, and there was resulting confusion between the "reply" and "reply all" buttons. As I said, Sinister, forgive me. But since I'm here, and I'm not really into grovelling for any more than is necessary, I thought I'd throw in my two pence about The Life Pursuit. But then I thought that actually it's slightly pointless, as everyone here will have an opinion, and hey - mine's just another. All I will say is that I know there's lots of gnashing of teeth about it not having that DIY production of the first two albums, but isn't it time we all moved on? I mean, it'd be a bit harsh to expect someone of Struan's personality to sit still and live out a groundhog day of releasing beautifully flawed records for the rest of eternity. We already have two incredible albums and four EPs like that, and surely if the band can move on then we can too, right? The whole transformation of the band - talking to the press, releasing proper singles, doing proper tours - just makes me feel quite proud of them really; it's like watching a nervous, introverted, spotty teenager blossom into a well-rounded, interesting and confident grown-up. Anyway, that's just my thoughts. Dear me, Sinster, this post is nearly as drab as my list of albums mistake post. Sorry. Maybe I just lost my touch somewhere. Maybe I never had it in the first place.
