As to the album, its more interesting than the first, but to me a bit disappointing compared to seeing them live
haven't had the honour of seeing them live yet, but know what you mean about the sound... there's that Hobbs radio live set where they play 'My Favourite Muse' into 'Clearing' and it's just so amazing, especially the guitar lines that go for the sun like Television or something... and yes, the recorded version of 'muse' is less striking, but then again, i has a restrained magic about it. Whatever, i do think that Philophobia is a great record, and suggest that the B&S album will have to go some to better it...
