I love JACK too. "Pioneer Soundtrack" is a magnificent album and I would recommend it to everyone on this list. JACK made my year in 96, just like BELLE & SEBASTIAN did in 1997. Both bands release a new album in 1998 and I can't wait to hear them ! (JACK's one will be called "The Jazz Age", I think...) Elle est pas belle la vie ?!??? 1998 is gonna be MAGNIFIQUE !
Are there any French people on the list? (I already pestered Anne) I might be going to Paris next month(who cares-oh well). Can you give me your opinion on any good places?

When do we meet? (although a double standard question)

He's doing a single with Suede. Nice one-top one-sorted-sort of. S.Meritt (not so vague) reference: Listen to the 6ths 'wasps' nests'. Now. Is the gothic archies CD any good?
