Tommy Stinson played bass (I believe) for the Replacements, and last I heard, had his own band called Perfect, and all I've ever heard by them was a cover of Crocodile Rock (really fun listening). His previous band, Bash & Pop, put out a great album called Friday Night Is Killing Me, and it had that one single you might remember called Loose Ends??? (Time to tie your loose ends up (tie 'em up).....)???? Good alcohol rock. This, by the way, ties in with another vein of this mailing list: '80's music. The Replacements, while not at all synth-pop, were still a great band.

1. The other night someone told me that Axl Rose has recruited Tommy Stinson for the latest incarnation of Gun'n'Roses. Way. And the next day I saw an article in a music mag confirming this! Ummmm... pardon my ignorance, but who is Tommy Stinson?
