speaking of which is anyone else finding the surfeit of 'perfect day' a bit strange? i mean, bbc1 are using the new version to urge people to pay their television licenses and channel 4 are using the (much better) original in order to publicise the fact that they're showing 'trainspotting' sometime this week...
'Much better' - hmmmm.
Infinitely better, I'd say. That BBC version is a pile of old poo, and the original is a bona fide classic in my book. I remember listening to it many years ago on my personal stereo in Princess Street Gardens, Edinburgh, about 7 o'clock one sunny morning, having just arrived off the overnight coach from London, and thinking, "isn't life beautiful". And I've never even tried heroin. Nigel xx ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . This message was brought to you by the Sinister mailing list. .
