Hi I just joined the list. I live as far away from Glasgow as could be conceivably possible, Sydney Australia. Although I did see the Fannies a week ago and again they played this song by Yo La Tengo, of which I'd love to know it's name so I could listen to the CD. Anyhow I do much love Belle and Sebastian, and bought the CD If You're Feeling Sinister with no preconceptions as to what it would be like, except the memory of reading somewhere that it was a gem of a CD. I don't have much money so this was an importamnt purchase for me Sooooooo, I listened to it once, didnt enjoy it, although thought Nick Drake and Tindersticks who i adore. Listened to it again, then again, and suddenly it seeped into me like some of my favourite music. Marvellous stuff chappies, wonderful playing, beautiful atmospheres and textures and wow lyrics which are more than worthy of reading and contemplating. I wonder if they'd attract a mosh in Sydney. Anyhow if a Belle or Sebastian person reads this, come to Australia, I can guarantee a good crowd at a decent sized venue and anything else you think of within reason :) Anyhow, hi people on the list Pete ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
