Have any other Americans seen the Amex commercial Jerry Seinfeld is doing where he is in England? You'll note the use of the word "pastie" within. The clerk seems to be referring to a pastry or some baked good.
I was just about to make a comment on this, but I wasn't sure if I had misheard it since La Pastie (the song) runs through my head every now and then. But yes, I do believe the person--dressed like a baker--asks Seinfeld if he wants a "pastie". Perhaps a secret B+S fan infiltrating the world of commercials? Some secret message only for those in the know? hrrm francisco ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
