Today I snapped up "The Philly Sound: Kenny Gamble, Leon Huff and the Story of Brotherly Love (1966 - 1976)", featuring the aforementioned Teddy Pendergass during his time with Harold, Melvin and the Blue Notes. I haven't listened to it yet, but I just know it's great. It looks and smells fabulous. I've never seen so many afros in one place.
What mighty fine taste he has, this was one of those cd collections that just screams buy me buy me when you see it. So my Dad did, his era you see. But not to worry I have conviscated it. Uninteresting and irrelevent story: My middle name is Leon because they decided that Leon Huff was such a legend. Any way, I'll get my coat.
