No way, Mark. Hands down the best station in Boston is WZBC, 90.3 (or something),
90.3 is correct.
the Boston College radio station
I have to agree with Aaron here, 'ZBC is the best
with, of course, WMBR, the MIT radio station (88.1). Although 'ZBC does win in that they play rock all day and night (if you call No Commercial Potential rock, which it sort of is). But the only problem with 'ZBC is that in most buildings in Boston, you just can't
you're stuck with listening to the bigger stations (WFNX being in that category) or listening to cd's all day long, which is what I pretty much do, after, of course, listening to the wonderful Breakfast of Champions on 'MBR for the first two hours of my work day.
B&S content - 'MBR is where I *first* heard B&S, way back in early '97 - gotta thank Matt N. for that!! (I sadly miss the "sugar buzz" show, Matt, if you're still on the list)
FNX can bite me.
Me too! Although, they do once in a while have *free form fridays* in which they go crazy and don't play anything from
station in Boston, along pick up the reception, so the playlist all day, and
I *did* get them to play B&S on the first FFF last February, but, in general, the station bites.

Thanks for the backup, Sue. How could I forget MBR? Also, to be fair, FNX does have the "leftover lunch," which kicks ass all over the contemporary "alternative" playlist. But is it me, or is it offensive that in terming their 80's show this they completely insult artists (and by extension, their fans) by implying that, say "People Who Died" or "Blister in the Sun" are now irrelevant? Anyway, on a completely unrelated note: Is anybody on the list fluent in Hungarian? Please email me privately if you are-- I have a project that needs a translation.
