Hiya Lixi
Its incredibly dark and brooding outside. Whos read Susan Coopers The Dark is Rising Sequence? I am almost finished and its dead good.
Rraaaaaa! Fabulous kiddielit (derogatory term which I'm reclaiming as of NOW). You should read all Joan Aiken's "Dido Twite" books as well if you haven't already, and anything by Diana Wynne Jones you can find, especially "Fire and Hemlock". It turns up in charity shops a lot. I love those Susan Cooper books. They're not at all patronising, a bit like The Famous Five with added mysticism and nastiness. A friend of mine set the poem-y thing that starts, "when the dark comes rising, six shall turn it back" to music for an A-level composition thingy, and it were dead good, like. Mmmmmm, G minor.
I never like finishing books because I panic and cant think what Im going to do with my time. But I still read everything very fast, because I cant relax if Ive still got things to do. If I havent got things to do, Ill invent something. Like opening up all the plugs and cleaning inside them. You can never be careful enough when it comes to DIRT.
Tee hee. I have developed a washing-up fetish. I must clean crockery before I can rest. This disturbs my flatmates, but they get their washing-up done, so they're not complaining.
<lixi stares madly around the room, with her mad starin eyes, thus becoming totally manic>
Mad staring eyes are a useful accessory: you should cultivate yr lunacy. Had a complete spack this morning: I was making panckaes for my house and they kept going horribly wrong 'cos I'd used self-raising flour for the batter instead of plain. Bugger. Waaaah! I want to come and play in LunnonTown kids' playgrounds and lark about on seesaws. But I have to write a bleedin' website. Sheesh.
Its Sunday now. Ive been writing letters all day and hanging clothes on clothes horses. Ive got my Sainburys uniform now, and I must say its rather stunning. Especially the quilted jacket. Mmhhm.
Yeah baby, yeah! The brown, orange and beige look is good for you, I feel. It will increase yr karma anyway, as it's like a sort of humble penitence thing: if you suffer in this life, you'll get reincarnated as a really happy vole or something in the next one. Possibly a ferret, although not one of the ones you'll be pimping. 'Cos you'd be a woodland mammal yourself and would therefore be subject to being pimped. Or something. Brain shutting down right now.
