Either way, I agree that Vulgar Boatmen & Silos were excellent underrated underrappreciated artists. My fave underrated artist is Klaus Flouride (ex Dead Kennedys' bassist) who put out what was my favorite album of 1989 - that being _Because I Say So_ which is just gorgeous. His 1991 follow up _the light is flickering_ is also great. Another great underrated band is F/i who recorded for RRRecords and whose vinyl records are very difficult to find (probably harder than Tigermilk, but not as expensive). Great stuff... sigh. I once played their "shallow inlet of a meadow" song mixed with Winnie The Pooh's "a rather blustery day" on an old radio show, although it wasn't my idea originally - rather Dave Regan did it first, so I borrowed the idea from him. oooh it was ace to do. well i've gone away from the point but anyway. there are tons of other great underrated bands but i know that most of the kids here know them already. oh wait - one more: Culturecide. Their _Tacky souvenirs..._ album is excellent. if you ever see it on vinyl, then buy it - it's well worth the $25 or so it'll cost, if not more. and Blub Krab compilation - that's a great album as well.
