Dear all, I'm a lurker now, which I highly recommend, but I've had a very B&S few days which I thought I'd share. I played a gig on Friday, wearing my TBWTAS t shirt, and we were heckled by drunken shouty blokes during the (many) quiet bits. They wanted to RAWK! (and they got their way in the end). My highlight was showing videos of Bagpuss on a b&w portable TV while we played. The promoter liked it anyway. Better than that- this morning I saved 3 confused, blinking baby birds whose nest had fallen off our house. The RSPCA said put them safely in a box with the remains of the nest and their feathery Mum and Dad will come and get them. Or the cats will. One or the other. I'd never seen the video for LLPJ till the other day. It's brilliant. Hilarious. I remember hearing the song on Jo Whiley's show and thinking it was appalling. Funny how you can change your mind, eh? And , is it a trick of the light or do they only employ v pretty girls in B&S vids? They all seem to have this.........no, let's not go down that blind alley. To the person that asked what was first on the Bowlie R1 thing I believe it was 'Slow Graffiti', not 'Seeing Other People' (or 'Seeking Other People' as Steve Lamacq called it). The show was,indeed, arse. Does anyone have a tape of that Mark Radcliffe session where tings got a bit.....frosty and he said something like 'Listen we started you lot off..'? What song did they do? Right, that's my lot. Back into the realms of Lurkdom. I'm off to Glasgow this weekend. See if I can find one of those B&S vid type girls, perhaps.
