The song features in the soundtrack to The Acid House, a film based on the book by Irvine Welsh and the lyrics relate very closely to what's been happening, plotwise. It's odd, but I've never actually read that book, nor seen the movie. Out of all the 100s of books I've read, I never read that one. I don't know why. So, I just spoke from my own experience. Different people have different impressions, different interpretations, based on their own experiences and knowledge. That's what makes art so great, whether it's music or paintings or films etc.
