I am reporting on the sad lack of Belle and Sebastian in Australia, in spite of Sezah's, the chat stalwart, best efforts. I was privileged to meet Sezah (phoning her Sydney house I panicked and risked asking for "Sarah" - I was correct luckily...), and on the way home to the UK I stopped in Bangkok and met again Ooooooon, that clean living Thai lass. Who told me that Chris said that she had a "gabbling habit" Adding insult to injury, I said she did speak quickly sometimes when excited. Oon was very gracious, and ignored my chatter. But we did make a discovery, which is that no-one can understand Keith and Chris when they talk together - so low and manly and Scottish are their voices. But I digress. I also met Fluke, who is in chat as well occasionally, and is a brilliant driver and very nice bloke. I just struck me, that nice as it is to have Internet friends, it is very nice when they can turn into "real" friends, and you can stay in their house, drive in their cars, and gossip about other sinisterines. And eat their food. Unfortunatly all this did mean that Honey had to have a relapse of bad health without anyone to bring him food etc, but hey, priorities. Awwwwwww. I also have something to add about Lord Anthony. I believe St M did tramp as a child around similar areas to those tramped by my own infant self, and there was a branch of Lord Anthony on Fenwick Rd, Giffnock which was a dreary mix of grey school uniforms and burgundy slacks, as far as I remember. No-one used this shop, and it was obviously a cover for something. Perhaps by examining the lyrics of the new song, we can discver what. Once again, I feel my subconscious has been mined by the songsnake. I am scared. If a song comes out featuring my school dinner menu, I wouldn't be at all surprised.
