confirmed, Sinister and the web pages will NOT be deprived of any news. sinister is still the only place where you can actually discuss the band and any news. the news list is really for people who have very restricted e-mail access (small boxes, occasional access). the news list will only carry text announcements of mail-outs or press releases. most news will still be aired first by the usual method of word of mouth on this list. the news list however will carry the official word once details/dates and things are confirmed (sinister will get the mail too). sorry to have caused confusion. you don't have to subscribe to the news list if you're on the sinister list or the sinister digest. david -- Honey wrote:

since it does make sense to have a news only list (you won't be able to post to it!) that sends you a mail everytime there is news. i've gone and created one!
For everyone's info - I've just mailed David and asked him to confirm that the Sinister list will be a member of his list - i.e. that you needn't subscribe twice, but if you stay here you'll see all the news just as quickly.
Sending this just to encourage people to wait before subscribing until we get that confirmed.
