I certainly do. So, enough of the OzRock history lesson. My name is Ben and this is my first post. Now, some more: Big Stu wrote, a little while ago, of the Australian 'yoof' radio station JJJ which introduced Looper as a 'Glaswegian hip-hop collective'. Aren't they? Leaving aside the fact that this is very 'cute' (SD skipping around in baggy pants and big sneakers...la la la), its actually not a bad effort, given the lack of information/coverage we get here, the (often) ignorant and mainstream attitude of the radio station in question, and the general funkiness of the music. Forgive them, for they know not what they do (or something) - the media juggernaut must have run out of puff before reaching our sunburnt shores. I'm sure our local community radio station would play them if they could, but they haven't had enough money to buy any new records since 1976. Actually, JJJ has been giving Legal Man a belting on the odd occasion, which is nice. Before that, the only thing I'd heard them play was The Boy with the Arab Strap when it first came out. What kind of stations play their records elsewhere? Did Legal Man really send B&S into the giddy world of commercial success, as promised? I love it, by the way: for the fact that it is possibly their only real cracking dancefloor number. Though dancing around to Judy or TBWTAS or La Pastie is nice, I think this one's a real hip-shaker that you don't have to "know" (which I think is the case with the above) to be moved to the dancefloor. And it sounds ace turned all the way up. Hi Justin. Is that the key to selling pop: having enough momentum to carry the kids along without them realising it? Yes, that's the word for Legal Man - momentous. OK, what else? Fairy wings. There was a cross-dressing party at the university bar last night. I was leaving and in the carpark I saw these five ladies get out of a Ford Festiva on their way to the bar. They were all wearing fairy wings and little cutsie-pie dresses. They sprayed me and my mate with water pistols. I couldn't help thinking that night would end in confusion and/or tears for many a wide-eyed pixie...
