And MAN..was it strange. In a good way..I think. If you've not read it, you'll be in a state of "WHAT THE?" but having read it...yeah. I thought it was great! It will either be subtitled, or not at all here in the states, as all the speaking is in Welsh's phonetic Scottish pronunciation...i'd imagine most American's would be totally befuddled. Oddly, I was so excited to see the film i'd forgotten all about "Slow Graffiti" until it popped up louder than anything. Not like a bit of it drifting in the backgroud whilst lovers strolled through a park..but sweet Stu's voice singing loud and strong while some twisted Irvine Welsh plot comes to life. I was so excited I squealed and started shaking my hands like a holly roller in church on Sunday. My mate who I was with (who thinks Belle & Sebastian sounds like "hippy dippy all over the place, music that goes no where and sounds like Greatfull Dead crap") just rolled her eyes. The soundtrack is reallllly good. Almost like they made a film just to do a soundtrack sort of thing. But all in all, was good. And I swear I spotted Welsh himself in the first bit sort of in the background sweeping something up, but maybe not. Slow Graffiti sounds sooooooo nice properly recorded. I want it now!
