I read somewhere (was it here?) that there are four words in the English language which don't rhyme with anything. They are month orange silver purple This seems like an irresistible challenge - to write a poem with one of the above words rhymed somehow. - don't send it to the list, send to me - Belle and Sebastian must feature - semirhymes are acceptable (they have to be) If I get two poems, looks like it's a Trousers-style competition. Unfortunately I have no lavish prizes. However, I do promise a beautiful hand-decorated tape of Tigermilk with a painstakingly transcribed lyric sheet taken from the LP and toiled over by Tibetan monks for years in the darkness. Or something. I've just written mine. It may well be the worst poem ever written. But don't be fainthearted, give it a go...
