Q: How many Belle and Sebastian fans does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: Just one -- a young boy with an old mind and middle-aged corduroy trousers. He thought about the lightbulb for a while and decided that if it were him he wouldn't want to be changed, so he didn't. Instead he got on a bus and let it drive him around while he thought of song lyrics with no words. Except "boy." And "girl." Later, as he sat in a cafe with just a cup of coffee and a daydream, he thought about the lightbulb once again. Perhaps it did want to be changed. If he thought it would answer him, he would ask it but it wouldn't. So he didn't. On a whim he asked a girl he knew in a cafe what she thought he should do. She looked up from writing a poem that would never be finished and told him. They went to change the lightbulb together. It felt like a dream but he was pretty sure it wasn't...
