And speaking of Serge, am I right in thinking that various B&S members were recently involved in a couple of evenings in tribute to the good man Gainsbourg earlier this year? If my somewhat dubious memory serves me right, they played in Glasgow and Stirling with other BMX Bandits, Pearlfishers, etc.
Yes, your quite right. I tried to get into the Glasgow show at the Cottier, but it was sold out by the time I got there, cos I didn't have a ticket, cos I'm stupid. I overheard people in the street saying it wasn't to hot, but does anyone know better? Please share... This was the week before the big free B&S gig in Kelvingrove park which was moved to the QM (hip kids union at Glasgow Uni) because it was very rainy indeed. Were the Bathers the band on immediately before B&S? No hold on that was the Pastels. Were the Bathers the band on immediately before the Pastels? If it was I remember a lady drummer. I'm probably thinking of the wrong band. They were very polished and reminded me of the Incredible String Band (joking).
