For the UK readers, its essentially a month long "world series" of college basketball teams, where 64 of the "best" teams in the nation compete for the national title. Its knock-down-drag-out-ugly-as-Linda-Tripp-bash-a-thon, with dozens of games played each night, and of course one loss and your season is over. Just about everyone fills out their brackets the week after the pairings are announced, and this year everyone watched them self-destruct poste-haste. This year has been so crazy I can't stand it. To make a bad picking of a bracket worse, Mrs. Llew's blasted Tarheels outlasted me and Todd H.'s (whos been absent recently) Maryland Terps and are now in the Final Four. The Terps were young this year, but they still played brilliantly...brilliantly enough to beat a certain group of Tarheels by 13 points a few weeks ago!!!!... ahem. The Tarheels and Terps both play in ACC Conference too, so our teams go head to head several times a year, with the Terps recently getting the best of NC...ANYONE REMEMBER TWO 18 POINT LOSSES LAST YEAR?!...right...sorry. If our star player, 6'9 junior forward Terrence Morris, returns next year we're easily of the Top 5 teams in the country...hold onto your ass Carolina. Country song titles are hilarious!
