Congrats Philippe! I first saw Fuck about four years ago when I was living in Chapel Hill, NC. I was one of like ten people there to see them - most of the other folks were my friends and housemates. They had a beautiful understated power, a nice mix of country heartbreak and indierock accents. Now they have a guy (Brain Hageman) from one of my all time fave bands, Thinking Fellers Union Local 282, so look out. The album I was referring to Pardon My French, is really good. I picked up their latest thing, Conduct, and well, I'm not that impressed. Maybe a few more listens will help. How was Catpower? I saw her years ago, also in Chapel Hill, I believe - that li'l southern bastion of all things hip - and enjoyed it for the most part. Putting her and Fuck together was a smart tour move.
