Well, in an unrelated way, I was sat on London's fashionable Marylebone station today, and the payphone rang suddenly. Hello?, said my camp friend. 'You must be outside the coffee shop', replied a weird old lady, 'I'm waiting for my son. You should go and get some milk.' After a few minutes spent pondering the meaning of this, the phone rang again. 'Hello, ' I said. 'Is there an injured person on the station?' she said. 'No.' 'Look. See if there are lots of dead people on a train.There will be.' And she hung up. The woman was totally sincere, and quite scary. Has anyone else had this happen? I mean, was this a one off or does she phone all major stations, to scare impressionable, Scream fixated teenagers? I'd like to know.
