Hi. It's Richard. The best thing I like about New York is the taxis. They're great. And every time you jump into one you put your life in their hands. And none of the drivers speak English, which is great - so you don't have that boring shitty chat that you have with taxi drivers at home. It's magic. And they just drive like utter, utter, utter c***s which is great. The other thing i like is the food. Howard Johnsons's especially. What a place. Tremendous. Cheap as well. And you can drink cocktails while having breakfast which is... pretty much always a bonus. The city smells like shit, obviously. Not very nice at all. Probably better in the summer. But it's always good when you pass a nut stall, cause you always get a free smell, and three seconds later it smells of shit again. Some of the shops are nice, but it seems like every second shop is either an electrical store or diner, and I don't know what else you can do apart from buy watches and cameras and eat. I think the highlight for me is Howard Johnson's. And I'd like to come back here again in a little while cause I've met a lot of nice people. I'm not really into flying here or flying back though. But I suppose it's the only way. If someone could explain to me how planes stay up I'd be most grateful.
