I just got some bad news for all US listers, according to the appropiate website the sessions TV programme on saturday will NOT have B&S this week. You can check for yourselves (I haven't yet) at http://www.sessionsatwest54th.com This info comes from a friend who was at the taping and will send me a copy when it appears. I'll let Jarrett introduce himself when he appears on the list soon. Meanwhile, back in Blighty, John Peel is doing the biz on the radio. Great stuff, but haven't heard any B&S yet (he's up to number 24 in the festive 31). Anyway, before Peel, Newsbeat ran a feature about Scotland wanting its own pop charts. The idea is that i will give more exposure and prominence to Scottish bands. B&S were namechecked by a punter outside HMV on Argyle Street, and Monica's bit in Lazy Line could be heard as backing music. Graham Kemp from Urusei Yatsura was interviewed for it, and he basically doesn't think it will do much good for anyone. Other web B&S sightings, www.sirendisc.com lists jan 25 as the streetdate for Modern Rock Song. If we do get an accompaning tour, my vote is for Brighton, quite a lovely town, and we've all taken B&S to our hearts. Enjoy Christmas and the weekend, and drinking too much at the meet before hand can sightly impare your enjoyment of B&S at the gig afterwards, as some of us found out in Oxford. Anyone taping the gigs? Tape tree please! Alex ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . This message was brought to you by the Sinister mailing list. .
