hello sinners am i really that deadpan? i am beginning to get worried. anyway, i'd like to publicly apologise again to rory for the beard misunderstanding. it's a relief to know that i was mistaken. i'm glad i made an interesting inpression.... now, reading that 12 nicens albums of last year list, i felt like i was reading american psycho, in the bits where patrick goes on about genesis and whitney houston for a chapter each. i skipped those chapters. i ended up in a demo about tuition fees last night, by accident. what abject joy! it was very amusing, and i simply couldn't take it seriously. not when the student masses were seemingly led by a man with a lisp. and someone was passing pringles round. i think i shamed one of my friends, who had inadvertantly joined the socialist worker party, by telling one of the swp members that i had 'apathy up to my ears'. he told me i was playing into the hands of the ruling classes. or something. i was too unsober to think of a good argument. dear diary, in my fantastic job i have to explain what digestive biscuits are, to tourists. and why cafetiere isn't pronounced cafeteria.
