hola seno....senor......er..... kids, this post has two purposes: 1. to moan about the terrible weekend i had in london, and 2. to coax some dubliners into coming to a badly organised meetup on saturday. those of you who aren't convinced i can pull this off with any flair or finesse should turn away now. okay. well, what can i say about my travels to the big schmoke? friday was Fun. i went to the poetry cafe, marvelled at nick dastoordly's nickpants, and left. it was what happened after that that GOT ON MY TITS. my hosts for the weekend turned out to be techno-cokehead-freakchildren, so i spent the rest of the weekend at bangin' techno clubs and Dodgy Parties. i didn't even get a bit of Hot Boy Action to cheer me up. in fact, the closest thing i got to Hot Boy Action was a lesbian who seemed quite taken with my drunken ramblings. mind you, that guy serving behind the counter in the poetry cafe is a bit of alright, isn't he? i wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crisps, like. if he is on this list i think i shall die now. ************************************************************************ **************** today i have been mostly listening to The Best Of Cece Peniston. it is the best record ever made* ************************************************************************ **************** as those of you unfortunate enough to live in dublin may already know, salako are playing in whelans this saturday night. some bloke from some band called ball and sebastian (?) will be djing afterwards too. for anyone who is interested, there will be one of those shambolic meet-up affairs in the Long Hall pub on Georges St at about 7.30pm before the gig. ************************************************************************ ***************** i got a list crush, you know. you see : cursing gets you EVERYWHERE. ************************************************************************ ***************** right, i think i've said enough. my fingers are tired from all that action. and dont get me started about the typing.
