I must admit that I had some difficulties with voting for Belle and Sebastian songs. Let's say I do not particularly care for song X, X, or X (titles witheld to avoid shocking controversey), I still probably like those songs more than any song by band X, X, or X (names witheld for above reason). I did give some songs deliberately low scores because it would be quite silly if we had a vote and every song scored a ten. Some songs just have to lose. I prefer to think that the number scale was really with a decimal, lowest score nine, then if song X were given only a 5, it would truly be a 9.5. I do want every song to be a winner in some way.
