in this fine edition of the jeepster news mail out; SNOW PATROL INTERVIEW TO APPEAR ON MTV (US) BELLE AND SEBASTIAN FINALLY HAVE NATIONAL TV DEBUT (UK) A SMALL GATHERING OF FRIENDS AT A JEEPSTER NIGHT (SWEDEN) SNOW PATROL INTERVIEW TO APPEAR ON MTV (US) ------------------------------------------- http://www.jeepster.co.uk/snowpatrol/ taking a rather hurried break in their current tour of europe with supergrass, snow patrol headed over to dublin for the mtv europe music awards. they performed at the aftershow party alongside the charlatans, and the result of all this rock 'n' roll shenanigans is that mtv america were so impressed with the performance they felt obliged to interview the 'patrol straight away. the interview will be broadcast on saturday at 6:30pm (u.s. time) during the mtv news, and will be repeated several times next week. also getting their debut us airing will be short clips from snow patrol videos around the interview. BELLE AND SEBASTIAN FINALLY HAVE NATIONAL TV DEBUT (UK) ------------------------------------------------------- http://www.jeepster.co.uk/belleandsebastian/ set your video's! belle and sebastian will be making their debut national (UK) television appearance on the re-born 'tube' television program. the tube formed an integral role in developing 'yoof tv' in the UK and this re-birth will hopefully herald a small revolution in television broadcasting that can save us from tfi friday and the demise of the chart show and offer a spark of mayhem and music genius back into late night viewing in the UK. the 'apocalypse tube' is being recorded and broadcast on Saturday 20th November and will appear on Sky One between 9pm and midnight. the highlights will be repeated on terrestrial television on Channel 4 between 1am and 4am on 1st January. all of belle and sebastian will be present for the live performance, as yet we do not have the list of tracks that will be played, but we do know that it will include two as yet unreleased and not-played-at-gigs tracks from the forthcoming new album. the hosts for the program will be chris moyles (bbc radio 1 dj) and donna air (mtv vj). other guests on the show are rumoured to feature the artist formerly known as prince, oasis, robbie williams, travis and michael stipe. though i'll state now that we haven't received a confirmed list of guests. A SMALL GATHERING OF FRIENDS AT A JEEPSTER NIGHT (SWEDEN) --------------------------------------------------------- http://www.jeepster.co.uk/ chris geddes and richard colburn (the keyboardist and percussionist from belle and sebastian) will be attending and dj'ing (mostly northern soul and funk) at a jeepster club night in SWEDEN along with a swedish dj. this is the first organized jeepster event outside of the UK, and should hopefully enable kids in other countries to hear the music jeepster are putting out and to have a more intimate rapport with the belles. the event will be hosted at the Estrad in Malmo (SWEDEN) on December 2nd from 9pm to 2am. records and promotional items for all of the bands on jeepster will be given away during the night as well as having jeepster music played during the night. tickets will be available on the door.
