Hi All, If none of this appears relevant its because I've only just had time to read the last 8 digests properly. That's right, Mummy, every post. Many nights ago Lucy dreamed: "Miss Honey was taking assembly in my old school hall, wearing a well-cut tweed skirt (with a split right up the back showing her fishnet stockings) and a cream, slightly see-through blouse, a long string of pearls swinging from her neck" & Geneviève didn't comment :( I too look forward to the STuD/Peacock panto/fiasco on Thursday evening, but fear I may have to rush off early before the real fun starts to see a bunch of phoney Glaswegian gang members who really went to public school. Did I get that last bit right, Edna? Also, who's going to spill the beans on the real Peacock Johnson in chat dissing Stuart David story? The Shooting Stars In Bright Formation have all disappeared from view. Were they cut off, or driven away by the rejuvenating experience of seeing The Aislers Set? I've been lucky enough to see them 3 times recently & they really are a Top Pop Group, well up there with Destiny's Child & The Sugababes. But with nicer smiles. Apparently there was a Belle And Sebastian gig recently, but no reports from listees. Were Sinisterines banned from entering? INTERNATIONAL COLLARING CONTEST I have a great collection of coins from countries all over the world. However I don't have many banknotes. So I have thought of a fantastic way of adding to my collection. To make it more fun I have initiated a contest, the winner of which will be the person who sends me the highest value note. Ask me for my address when you've saved up for the biggest one you can get. When I've got enough cash I'll post the winner's name & a .jpg of the note on Sinister. Oh, and to encourage you I'd like to point out that my car drinks a fantastic amount of petrol (gas), I drive about 25,000 miles a year & petrol is very expensive. APPOINTMENTS I'd like to wish good luck & success to acting ListMummy Lulou in her new position - I know she'll do a grate job. There's someone else I'd like to wish good luck to (and morever good health). The last two weeks especially have been packed with fantastic events, made all the more so by the company I enjoyed them in. It strikes me that I wouldn't have met any of those people (well, except for The Pinefox's perfect party hostess Sally, but then I've known her since before she was born) if I hadn't plucked up the courage to attend a Sinister event one day a couple of years ago. So its all down to Honey/Paul. Thanks a lot, mate. Have a good rest & we'll see you back at the helm when you're feeling a bit better. ON THE SCROUNGE A bit of list abuse, sorry. Apparently The Aislers Set played a Peel session which was broadcast last Tuesday - did anyone tape it? It included a Joy Division cover. I have some stuff to swap for it. And did anyone record the repeated Hefner session which went out last Thursday night? I have been a bit vague this week & have been missing APHRODITE IN FURS Thanks to Pauline for the latest, S&M flavoured episode of her aristocratic memoirs. I had to reach for the dictionary three times, always a pleasure to have ones vocabulary stimulated! And what a hectic life you lead! So jealous! TODAY YOUR LOVE, TOMORROW THE WORLD Bye bye & God Bless, Joey.
