Dearest Sinister, I wrote:
Their songs sound awful played as dance music.

I remember dancing to Slow Graffiti at Tigermilking and having a top time. Then again, I can have fun dancing in my room to the sound of my tambourine. I was thinking, once the new single and album come out, with Legal Man and all that, I should be able to fill at least a side of a tape with "Top Belle And Sebastian Dance Tunes". Oh, the thought of it! Photo Jenny and TBWTAS and all the rest. That's dance with a capital D!
What I meant is how they speed up records and turn up the volume of the bass at dance clubs. Hopefully, the DJs at Tigermilking events have never been guilty of that. I didn't mean that the songs could not be danced to.
