Okay, what's going on? Two Morrissey songs have now fallen into capitalist hands... "Stars of Track and Field" is a sportshow themesong... And just now, as fellow Illeana Douglas fans may have seen, "Burning Flies" is playing behind an advertisement for "Dog Park," a new movie with Luke Wilson playing the lead. Now, I love Luke Wilson, (he and his brother Owen, who wrote "Rushmore" and "Bottlerocket," are from my neighborhood) but what's up with these suddenly frequent commercial sell-outs. Does Wee Carn want a new treehouse? Obviously, having a great song placed on a movie's soundtrack isn't as bad as selling leather-seated nissans (meat is murder) or economy-sized mini-cars (you're the one for me fatty,) but this movie seems like the usual Hollywood fluff. It doesn't deserve Looper, and, as for me, I don't condone the murder of flies!!!
