The saddest thing that I can think of is the film PONETTE. I began crying mid-way through the film, and was all but hyperventalating (SP?) by the time it ended. The friends I was with were embarassed by my pitiful weeping. I think I will rent the video someday when I am alone and feeling quite pathetic.
I, too, was a complete mess during "Ponette," and was not helped by the fact that my companions thought it was a silly movie. Give me a ring when you decide to relive the pain. One of my favorite films, also terribly upsetting, is "Farewell My Concubine." As for songs personally sad: Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You." About three years have passed since this became unbearable to listen to, and I still skip over it on the CD player (then again, it's the only song I really like on the album). And though it is not connected to any specific memories, "Fox In The Snow" also makes me cry. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
