Evening all, Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Things are okay around here. Hopefully get some rain tomorrow. Its been a while. Shame rain can't be spread around a bit more. Too much in England. Too little in Palestine. Way too much in Honduras. Thing in the paper today about a lady who got swept out to sea and lived to tell. She made a raft and survived on oranges and coconuts that floated by. Note to PJ and Keith. Some fellow around here painted this large mural that consists of all the words from Tommy. I suggest you get here before he paints it over some time in December. And Moe Tucker is playing here on Wednesday. Maybe you can get her to play your hometown. All she asks for in return is a 6-pack of Budweiser. Glad to hear of the forth coming Modern Rock Song EP. I remember about a year ago reading a little blurb in some music weekly about this EP. And it had this great picture besides it. This guy with a bike in, I assume, Glasgow, all smiles. He was wearing some sort of funny hat. Does anyone have one of these? I'd love to have one. I like to picture myself riding a bike around Glasgow dodging buses driven by daydreaming boys. Maybe in the next world. I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet, if so, I'm sorry, but in the latest issue of US magazine Magnet there's a two page spread on B&S. Pretty accurate for a change. It basically consists of an interview with Richard. He is "into rock and roll". Mentions how he sits at home listening to Husker Du. And he also mentions how Stuart Murdoch leaves the house early in the morning and doesn't get back till late at night and no one really knows what he's getting up to. And he wants it none that the band are a bunch hard-partyin' drunkards. Stumbling drunkards. There's also a little insight into the whole Chickfactor affair. Tantalizing stuff. Shilough just told me that his friend in Athens had the pleasure of selling our Isobel a Left Banke LP. After hearing that she was ill, I was thinking I might give her this Francoise Hardy LP that I have on my wall. But I didn't. Anyone else feeling ill? Maybe I'll give it to you instead. I should start being kind and considerate to my friends and loved ones before I start giving away things to the stars. To those to the West of me, pleasant dreams. To those to the East, get to work!
